Owner & speech-language pathologist
Maria Rakintzaki MSc, CCC-SLP
Pediatric speech-language pathologist
For more than 14 years, I’ve had the joy of supporting children and families through pediatric speech and language assessment and therapy. My work has taken me to public schools, special education classrooms, preschools, family homes, and private practice, and each setting has taught me something new about how children learn and grow.
I’ve worked with children with all kinds of communication needs, from early language development and speech sound disorders to more complex speech and language challenges. I also support children who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), because I believe every child deserves a reliable, meaningful way to share their thoughts, needs, and personality. I have a special interest in motor speech disorders, including childhood apraxia of speech.
I’m originally from beautiful Greece, and I’m proud to call Clemmons home. I live here with my husband and our two busy boys. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me in the kitchen cooking, or driving around Clemmons and Winston-Salem between errands and the boys’ activities. As a bilingual clinician, I’m happy to offer both assessment and therapy in Greek and English. I also speak a little French and Spanish, so don’t be surprised if a “bonjour” or “¡hola!” sneaks into our greetings!
I can’t wait to get to know your family and create a therapy experience that’s personalized, fun, and full of opportunities for your child to grow and thrive.

Recent Training & Professional Development
GLPGestalt Language Processing
Some children learn language in “chunks” instead of single words. They might repeat whole phrases from favorite shows, songs, or everyday routines, like “Let’s go!” or “Want some more?” This is called Gestalt Language Processing, and it’s a natural way of learning language. With the right support, these phrases become building blocks for flexible, meaningful communication.
